• Mentored a freshman undergraduate through a summer of research to help him determine his future goals in biology and medicine. He is continuing his work with me and has begun research for credit which will likely result in a publication.

• Mentored a student from the SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) program that aims to identify talented underrepresented students in the sciences and introduce them to research

• Mentored Yale undergraduate (Jez L. Marston) as part of his senior thesis research and as STARS (Science, Technology, and Research Scholars) fellow. His work was significant enough to garner second authorship recognition on my published work
