Executive Director of the MSD Alumni of New England 2018 – Current

Mobilized and organized over 100 alumni of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School across New England to advocate for common sense gun-control legislation - www.MSDStrongNewEngland.org
Directed the implementation of a week of events - Eagle Pride Week - in which every night the MSD alumni of New England planned and executed a community-building event dedicated to gun-control advocacy, education, community-engagement, or fundraising
Participated in lobbying and press conference for MA Extreme Risk Protective Order (ERPO) legislation

President and Member of Yale Science Diplomats (YSD) 2014 – 2017

YSD is a board of graduate students that focus on developing skills in science policy, communication, and outreach – includes discussions of new science governmental programs, meetings with local officials, planning science communication events such as Science in the News, and coordinating outreach events such as science fairs and public lecture series
As president, led and coordinated meetings and outreach events and acted as liaison between the organization and school administration

Founding Member of the Biomedical Careers Committee 2013 – 2016

Planned the first and second annual ‘Yale Biomedical Career Fair’ with over 300 attendees each year spanning every biomedical department at Yale

Organized professional development sessions for students to discuss potential careers outside of academia and seminars by the Office of Career Strategy on navigating the career-search

Co-coordinator for The Yale Science Journalism Symposium 2017

Helped plan and organize a day-long symposium dedicated to science journalism and communication
Coordinated food, arranged workshops, booked rooms for ~100 symposium attendees

Chair of Genetics Department Steering Committee 2014 – 2017

Met with genetics department heads once a semester to discuss genetics department issues such as involvement from faculty at student talks and inviting more speakers from outside Yale for seminars

Graduate Student Assembly Genetics Representative 2014 – 2015

Elected to represent the Genetics department at biweekly meetings with representatives from the entire graduate school to discuss issues such as transportation, health, and professional development
Hosted departmental meeting to asses issues most relevant and important for the genetics students

Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee Team Captain 2010 – 2012

Helped 15 new Frisbee players learn the rules and strategies of Ultimate Frisbee
Planned tournaments, practices, and play-calling to achieve maximum player potential
