Erin Nicole Heim

The five words friends have used to describe me are enthusiastic, efficient, motivated, gregarious, and committed. Hello, I am Erin.

My world drastically changed on February 14, 2018. I went to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. This is a quiet town and a rather boring one as well, but somehow it made the national headlines when an atrocious act took the lives of 17 innocent people. Since that day, staring at my computer screen in terrified disbelief, I've realized that my passion needed to be channeled into trying to make this world a better place and working with my community to help change the future.

My background is in science - I obtained my Ph.D in Genetics from Yale University, and  then  spent  a  year  at  Harvard  University  doing  postdoctoral  research  in

Chemical Biology. However, I've got the mind and dedication of a scientist, but the commitment and engagement of a public servant. I believe there is no better application of my skill set than dedicating myself to moving this country forward.

The shooting at my high school led me to lobbying for Massachusetts' Red Flag Law, spearheaded by Cambridge Representative Marjorie Decker. After the successful passing of this bill into law, I worked as the Campaign Manager for Representative Marjorie Decker's 2018 Campaign. I then transitioned into a role as an Associate Partnerships Manager at ActBlue, and then to the position of Operations and Scheduling Director for Steve Pemberton's campaign for US Senate. The range of skills and relationships that I have developed throughout these transitions led me to my current role as the Managing Partner of Reservoir Strategies, LLC.

I will not stop fighting for a more compassionate and thoughtful future. Let's work together to change the world.
